This is Marathon Oil’s first report as an independent international energy company, following the successful 2011 spin-off of its refining, marketing and transportation business. The new report continues to track the Company’s CSR progress across 16 goals in the areas of governance, society, environment and the workplace.

Marathon Oil’s 2011 CSR milestones included exceeding its goals for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and improving energy efficiency. The Company also improved its safety performance in 2011 from the prior year.
